The Faithful Fools live and work in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood.  They are focused on neighborhood projects as a way to provide appropriate foolish support to the community.

Street Retreats

 

The Faithful Fools lead seekers on a day-long experience on the streets of The City.  The days start and end with a community service.  They are filled with contemplation, people, and concrete.

 

A place of our own

Let us have roots and place to teach our neighbors how to earn a living!  The Faithful Fools is raising $850,000 to buy a Tenderloin building which is their home base, a safe place for workshops, and a center for job training.

 

Up On Top

The UP ON TOP After School Program provides licensed after-school care for the Tenderloin and surrounding communities. The program is licensed by the State of California, Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. The program serves 24 children, ages 6-10 in grades kindergarten through third attending John Swett Elementary School. All participants come from families who qualify for HUD low-income designations.

 

The Witness

 

The Faithful Fools has created  an arts program under the coordination of Martha Boesing, an acclaimed playwright and director from Minnesota.
 
She has written and directed The Witness,  a play  which follows a young woman in her journey on to the streets.

Kopanang Women's Group and the Sithand'izingane Care Project

The Sithand'iningane Care Project in Geluksdal, South Africa reaches out to needy children.  The Faithful Fools commissioned the Universe Story from the Kopanang Women's Group at the Project, and we proudly display that art on our walls.  Learn about Sister Sheila and the loving work she has brought to the Fools Court.
