Tenderloin
We partner with individuals, community partners, faculty, and various colleges, universities and high schools to create learning experiences that nurture the talents of
each person. We believe that learning rooted in lived experience, critical thinking, and collaborative discussion enhances academic experiences. The Tenderloin is an ideal place to reflect, learn, and discover our common humanity.
Internships
Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, we may be able to offer you a place to complete your internship. We have worked with students in programs ranging from communication and design to economics and ministry.
Immersion
Alternative Break
Immersion and alternative break experiences include staying in the Tenderloin from 3 days to 2 weeks, volunteering and participating in various activities designed to develop relationships with people and issues as well as structured reflection.
Team Teaching
We team teach classes at your location or here in the Tenderloin. We bring our experience and background about systems that create and perpetuate poverty, about community building, and much more. Our pedagogies include theater of the oppressed, arts engagement, and popular education.
