The Institute for Street Level Learning invites you to join us for a day of reflection followed by soup and bread. Our day begins with an opening circle, surfacing our intentions, and forming our foundation for the day. We will then spend the day on the streets of the Tenderloin. We will set aside our phones, our busy schedules, and encounter ourselves and our community with space for discovery. We set aside our agendas--be they tourist, professional, or student--and allow ourselves time to consider what connects us and what separates us. We aren't here for "poverty tourism" or "to see what it's like to be unhoused." We are here on retreat from the agendas of daily life for a moment of connection with ourselves and the people around us.
